I use this addon to announce my interrupts and battle res. I think it can be annoying when just left on default, especially in fights were there are a million things going on. I'll turn on things like defensives if I'm tanking on progression and it helps my healers.

The big advantage of this addon vs. a simple macro is that it can actually check if an interrupt or battle res was successful.
